Consultants, recruiters, real-estate and insurance agents usually run two calendars: a work Google Calendar clients and colleagues can see, and a personal iCloud calendar for everything else. Double-booking happens exactly at the seam between the two — because neither calendar knows what's on the other.
Seam syncs both directions and, on the Professional plan, can mirror events across as “Busy” only — no title, location, or guest list — so your availability shows up everywhere without your personal details leaking onto a work calendar.
