Why Google Calendar doesn't just live on your iPhone
Your iPhone can show a Google Calendar today — add your Google account under Settings → Calendar → Accounts, and it appears in the Calendar app. But it stays a separate calendar, not part of iCloud: Siri suggestions, Screen Time calendar rules, and Family Sharing all key off your actual iCloud calendar, not an added Google account.
