Does this work with a company Google account?
Seam uses the standard Google Calendar API OAuth scope — the same permission any calendar app requests, nothing Workspace-specific. Most organizations allow this by default.
Some Workspace admins restrict which third-party apps can request calendar access. If yours does, you'll see that clearly the moment you try to connect — worth a quick check with IT beforehand if you're on a tightly locked-down company account.
What to check if IT asks for specifics
Seam requests Google's calendar scope (read/write access to the calendars you explicitly choose during setup) through a standard OAuth consent screen — nothing is granted silently, and access can be revoked at any time from your Google Account's own "Third-party apps & services" page, independent of Seam. If your Workspace domain restricts third-party OAuth apps to an admin-approved allowlist, an admin adds Seam by app name from the Google Admin Console the same way as any other calendar or scheduling tool your organization already trusts.
This connects a single Workspace user's calendar, not the whole organization's directory — it's the same connection model as a personal Gmail account, just running under a Workspace domain.
A shared calendar link isn't the same thing.
Most people's first attempt is exporting or subscribing to a calendar link. It looks like it works — until an edit or a cancellation doesn't show up on the other side.

Will my company's Google Workspace admin need to approve this?
Only if your organization restricts third-party app access to Google Calendar — most Workspace accounts allow it by default. If you're not sure, ask your IT admin, or try connecting and Google will tell you immediately if it's blocked.
Can I revoke Seam's access without contacting Seam?
Yes — Google Account access is granted through a standard OAuth consent screen and can be revoked anytime from your Google Account's own Third-party apps & services page, independent of Seam.
Does this expose the whole company directory?
No — Seam connects one user's calendar at a time, the same permission model as a personal Gmail account, not organization-wide directory access.
Will it duplicate my events?
No. Events that already exist on both sides are linked, not copied twice.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your account drops to the free plan, which syncs one way, a few times a day.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Every change Seam makes is logged and can be reversed — for 90 to 365 days, depending on your plan.
Does Seam read my events?
Only to copy them between the calendars you pick. Never sold, never used for ads or AI training.
